STAINLESS STEEL
Stainless steel is an alloy containing a minimum of 10.5% chromium and up to 1.2% carbon.

It offers strong resistance to rust and tarnishing, making it one of our most durable material choices.

For this reason, it is widely used across our collection.

These pieces are water resistant; however, exposure to chemicals should still be avoided to maintain their finish.

Please note that stainless steel has a slightly deeper tone compared to sterling silver.

For long-lasting wear, stainless steel is highly recommended.

 

STERLING SILVER
Silver is one of the most well-known precious metals, valued for its beauty and softness.

Due to its natural softness, it is often combined with metals such as copper to improve strength and durability.

925 Sterling Silver is composed of 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper.

This is a delicate material that requires careful handling.

When not in use, store silver jewellery in a closed box away from light.

Exposure to air, moisture, and sunlight over time can cause silver to lose its original shine.

 

TIPS FOR LONGER-LASTING JEWELLERY
Jewellery, especially gold-plated and silver-plated pieces, will naturally tarnish over time. The following care tips will help slow this process and keep your Shine On You pieces looking their best:

• Avoid contact with perfumes, soaps, and harsh chemicals
• Wipe gently with a soft cloth after wear
• Store in a cool, dry place
• Remove before sleeping, showering, swimming, or entering the sea
• Put jewellery on last when dressing and remove it first when undressing
